For a wedding anniversary, I’d go for Viognier in San Mateo, the restaurant above Draeger’s Market on Third Street, I think. Consistently great good, excellent wine list, expensive.

Viognier is, I think, your best bet. The atmosphere is warm, perfectly suited to conversation, and sophisticated. Since it’s tacked on to Draeger’s, the wine list is mighty....

Nothing immediately comes to mind except Bonny Doon has a blend composed of primarily grenache blanc plus roussane. Copain also has a blend with mostly viognier and roussane.

You might like Viognier in San Mateo. The restaurant is upstairs but I’m pretty sure they have an elevator. I haven’t been to Rivoli so I’m not sure if this is what you want. But it is a nice place....
