I can tell you that Veselka has close to the worst...unless that is, you like congealed, yolky hollandaise.

Jimmy’s on 7th (near 2nd) could be an option. Nice basement spot, great beer list (I forget if the wine list is any good), some light bites on the menu. Otherwise, there’s always Veselka, I think they serve wine...

Get the warm cherry pie (or crumble?) at Veselka - 9th st/ 2nd Ave. It’s great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream too.
