Tra Vigne has it’s charms (the polenta in game sauce is a notable signature dish) but Terra is an alternative worth exploring.

The restaurant’s name is Tra (with an “A”) Vigne. and Michael Chiarello left — what? — a decade ago? It is pretty bad, actually. Search around and you will see lots of not very flattering reviews.

I received a generous gift certificate redeemable at any restaurant in the group—Tra Vigne, Betelnut, Buckeye Roadhouse, Bix. Which will provide the best combination of well-done dishes and great lighting fixtures?

Tra Vigne's Sunday Brunch is GREAT and the Health Spa Napa Valley is right next door ;)

The Yountville Inn in Yountville is very nice. Have a light lunch at Bistro Jeanty, then drive to St. Helena for dinner at either Tra Vigne or Terra. Have a nice trip! *kim*
