Coincidently, I just had a meal at the Happy Gnome in St. Paul. They have a scotch list like I have never seen, including some pretty high faulting ones. Maybe another good source to try before you buy?

For me it’s the first beer on the patio at the Happy Gnome. Or really any bar. I’m not that picky.

taking a look at the Happy Gnome, near the corner of Selby and Dale. It’s got its own parking lot and the best tap list in town. Apart from that, I think the food’s pretty good, too.
