One man blends his way to the perfect bottle of wine.

A friend of ours wanted to get together for dinner at Tapestry last night. I remember thinking it was indifferent the last time we went a couple of years ago, but it was her birthday and her convenience, so hey. What a bummer....

A hotel room done up in wine country décor is no substitute for the real thing.

For the price, I would suggest Tapestry in Los Gatos. Cheaper and better food. Also, Dio Deka. Maybe not cheaper, but still better food. Parcel 104 isn’t bad, it’s just not that goodfor the money.

Best red wine by the glass? BV Tapestry. Also try Michael Minna’s in San Jose known as ACADIA. It is fantastic but pricey. They took many SF employees with them to open new place. Food is killer. Have the chicken for 2.

I always think Cafe Marcella is reliable, although some find it a bit noisy, and someone once said that they felt rushed there. Tapestry is pleasant. It’s not the meal of a lifetime, but you won’t be disappointed....
