Salumi is good for lunch. It’s pretty rustic, and small. If you go during the lunch rush, be prepared to wait in line and share a table. I recommend Steelhead Diner in the market for dinner.

you can hardly do better than steelhead diner (1st/pine) for lunch and union (1st/union) for dinner – both right in your neighborhood. having written that, i cannot fail to mention that matt’s in the market (1st/pike)...

steelhead diner in the market has a private room that can accomodate 30 either seated or mingling.

Dahlia Lounge, Waterfront ($$), Steelhead Diner, Flying Fish, Tulios, Six Seven at the Edgewater all can handle that. I’ve done private parties at all but Steelhead and have had great experiences.

Dinette and Steelhead Diner are doing lovely, unpretentious things. Just stay away from the unacceptable fries at the latter.

I agree with a lot of the above. If you want a grandiose buffet spread, Salty’s can’t be beat. For ordering off a menu, Geraldine’s Counter has one of the best breakfasts around at the more basic end of things,...

Definitely try Steelhead Diner. Comfort food. Half a block from Pike Place Market. Wallet friendly. Distinctly a find!
