Plums get sprinkled with sugar, broiled until their skins are blistered, and then nestled in orange-scented rice pudding.

For those of us who ate rice pudding late at night at Zim’s on Van Ness at Market Street – there’s now rice pudding on Polk Street in many flavors... I had chai rice pudding at Loving Cup.

Does anyone know of a place in Brooklyn that makes a really good plain old-fashioned rice pudding? There’s Rice to Riches in the city, but maybe Brooklyn has something closer and better to offer?

Where have you found the best basic rice pudding in the area? I’ve always been partial to the pudding at Demo’s in Watertown, but am wondering if there are other worthy options out there.

In search of the creamiest, best rice pudding. I prefer it w/o raisins but will try any that is creamy and perfectly made. Prefer LA/Valley, but will travel to OC if it’s to-die-for! Tapioca suggestions appreciated as well.

Newly transplanted Buffalonians looking for the best rice pudding in SF—tried a couple of places in our Sunset neighborhood, but they’ve been heavy on the pudding, lean on the rice. Recommendations?
