    pepper mill mechanism- ceramic vs. metal

    Are you sure the mechanism is ceramic and not white plastic? For my money, I’ve been using a couple of Peugeots for many years without and problems with rust. These are far superior to other brands IMHO.

    In my experience, having a Peugeot mechanism is the most important factor. My folks have had a Peugeot grinder for 30 years, and it’s still going strong, and I love ours.

    I have had 2 Peugeot mills for over 15 years. I keep a black lacquered one for black pepper and a samller white lacquered one for white pepper. I also have a Perfex that does a good job too.
