Peter Luger is the king of steak in New York city. However, Keens' porterhouse is still great and the best steak I have had in Manhattan.

Have 9:00pm reservations for Peter Luger next week, but have heard you can often wait a while, even with reservations... should I bring a book and anticipate a wait?

Went to Peter Luger's about a year ago and was not at all impressed. The porterhouse was just OK. Went to Embers Steak House on 3rd Avenue and 91st Street in Bay Ridge some weeks later and had a much better meal at 1/3 the price.
