John Dewar’s in Newton and Wellesley, Savenor’s in Boston and Cambridge. Both are expensive, but excellent. Sulmona in the North End is also very good, and not nearly as pricey.

For prime cuts of steak, try Savenour’s on Beacon Hill, John Dewar in Newton Centre, or the Butcher Shop in the South End. They’re all pricey, but deliver the goods on quality.
