I guess I don’t understand the need to decant these wines. They are young and they are Bordeaux; I would not think they would throw off a crust, like a vintage Port. But maybe I am missing something here.

If you want green bananas to ripen quickly, place them in a paper bag, closed loosely. The banana gives off ethylene gas which ripens it. Placing it in a paper (not plastic) bag with trap the gas and accelerate ripening....
