These days lots of places have decent bourbon selections. Nihon, Elixir, John Colins, and 83 Proof all offer a variety of bourbons. I imagine Bar Drake does too, although the emphasis is on the tails.

I’ll second Nihon and add Alfred’s for their great bartenders and extensive selection of fine whiskies.

Nihon, Folsom at 14th, has a ridiculously overblown whisky selection as well as a fair number of fish- and meat-free sushi/robata-like small plate thingies.
