I like the Mars Diner. Just north of Eglinton on Yonge on the East Side. It is small, so there might be a wait. But worth it.

Alize is decent. Boom (east of Yonge on Eglinton) is okay, nothing to rave about but better than some of the places in the hood.

Dizzy, on Yonge. North of Eglinton. Tiny place, sports bar. Not the best selection of beers but friendly service. The food is very good and portions are huge.
