Has anyone been to Manresa in Los Gatos? Any Comments?

I’m visiting friends who live in Los Gatos and they want to go to Manresa—I’ve looked at the website and the menu looks a little on the overwrought/fussy side—anyone been? Is it worth the $$$?

Thanks for the suggestion in response to the Satatoga splurge post. Manresa was worth the drive and worth the money. Anniversary dinner consisted of one three course and one four course tasting menu along with one wine pairing....
