First place that comes to mind is Kyotofu on 9th Avenue. Japanse desert restarant.

Kyotofu is excellent if you are in the mood to be a little adventurous. Authentic japanese desserts in a beautiful setting, and casual is totally ok. Plus, with the strike, they are offering 25% off your total bill.
