Starter Gin
Big lover of gin here. If you can find it try Junipero, it’s a small batch American gin from the West Coast and it is fantastic. Beautiful understated botanicals with a crisp clean finish. Best used when making a real... (18 replies, last updated by Sacto_Damkier September 6, 2007)

Well you have gotten plenty of fine gin recs so I will skip that area but add my vote for Plymouth or Hendricks (though I will mention that saphire is a less juniper intensive gin so pick accordingly for your upgrade). I have the... (66 replies, last updated by judge dee January 15, 2007)

Gin: my new hobby
While Plymouth is my hands-down favorite gin, you might want to give Junípero a try. It’s a gin made by the Anchor Steam brewery and is a bit more agressive than Plymouth. You can find Junípero at Schneider’s near... (35 replies, last updated by FlaHopper May 23, 2008)

Really great gin?
There are also a pair of micro-gins being made in California: No. 209 (distilled by owner of Dean and DeLuca), and Junipero (distilled by Anchor Steam of beer fame). (27 replies, last updated by vb_lady December 18, 2006)

anyone tried Genevieve gin yet?
Anchor distilling was pouring it at Whiskyfest here in Chicago. I love gin, and their Junipero is great, but the Genevieve was not my taste. Had a very oily feel to it and not a pleasant aroma. (15 replies, last updated by craigasaurus November 25, 2008)
