Did you know Joe's has a place on 7th Avenue & Carroll St. in Park Slope? I haven’t been to the one in the city in a long time, so I can’t comment on it. Their Brooklyn place is nothing to write home about though.

Hey all, Anyone know if I can get any of the newly arrived Indian mango varieties in Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill vicinity? Is the season over already?

We can’t find Silk Soy creamer in any of our usual spots, and have expanded the search to other hoods including W’burg, the Slope, Carroll Gardens.... Any suggestions?

Depends how far you are willing to travel. My favorites are Joe's Perette in Carroll Gardens and Defonte’s in Red Hook. Joe's is on the F Line, 3 stations away from DUMBO.

If, by the City, you mean the 5 boroughs, I’d recommend Joe's (Su)perette on Smith St., Brooklyn (Carrol St. Stop on the F, G) for much more authentic than Fairway. Get some of their Prociutto balls while you are there....

There is Mendy’s in the museum building. There is also Esther’s Deli on Albany and Empire. There is a nice bagel shop on Troy Avenue and (I think) Carroll. Cafe Boulevard is a nice dairy place, fish, pasta salads...
