Daim Cake at Ikea
The Swedes love Daim cake. It’s made from an almondy biscuit batter that yields a thin cake. The cake is covered with chopped pieces of Daim candy (similar to Heath bars) and milk chocolate. It’s very sweet and rich.

Breakfast at IKEA - $1.99

Ikea salmon scare
I actually don’t mind Ikea all that much. I used to bring a good book and read while enjoying cake and unlimited coffee/tea/soft drinks. I don’t mind the hotdogs at the cafe either. But definitely not chowhoundish....

But Xericx is right. Don’t expect a culinary revelation at IKEA, especially for $0.99. But hey, I still like it. A plus: the Daim Torte ($1.79) is damn good! BTW, speaking of cheap breakfasts, I love the Filipino Breakfasts...

I’d second the Back-a-Yard recommendation, though I do have a weakness for IKEA's Swedish apple cake.
