Lots of good Japanese in the area. Okada is close by....and along Robson St are: Guu/Guu with Garlic (further down and a bit larger and can probably accomodate your group). And a brisk walk away is Hapa Izakaya and a few others...

It looks like Vancouver will soon see the opening of Santouka ramen’s first Canadian shop. It’s going to be on Robson St, a couple of doors down from Kitanoya Guu with Garlic. That will make 5 ramen shops in the area...
