There were many complaints about the clear Magellans that it didn’t have the same flavor as the Blue gin. I am very glad to hear that Blue is back.

We have some friends that seem to like the flavor of this gin, is there a “better” brand that would have the same qualities? We usually buy them liquor for Christmas and they are on a gin kick.

I did a gin tasting 2 years ago at a party using Hendricks, Tanqueray Ten, Bombay Sapphire, Citadelle, and a Spanish Gin Xoreguera (sp?). We made G&T’s and martinis (twists, not olives) as the purest expressions of the gins...

I would recommend trying plymouth. It is very good, though not as high a proof as others so the other flavors in gin are more readily accessed. Good in a G & T. Or try it straight on the rocks

Just remembered.....one way that we typically cook geoduck or razor clams is to do a quick saute and then add ginger/gin/soy to flavor....yummmmm.....

Of all the gins already listed I think there is one that is even cheaper and has a fairly good gin flavor. It is McCormick Gin made in Misouri if think. I live in SC and can find it in sme ABC stores. If you go to look for Mc

Hendricks has only recently become widely available, and it is a very nice change from more traditional gins. It has cucumber! Very subtle flavors and would be a great addition to her collection.
