For a pumpkin beer I would highly recommend Dogfish Head Punkin' Ale (not too spicy, and a fabulously balanced beer.) Locally, I would recommend Flying Fish October Fish.

Whole Foods and Bevmo (at least the ones in Pasadena) both carry Dogfish Head's Punkin Ale.
