I usually only use semolina pasta, but I found DeLallo brand organic whole wheat at whole foods recently for a change of pace. It has a great flavor and is made with bronze dies like the imported italian semolina pasta I buy....

mentioned Giuseppe Cocco is in my opinion the best, but brands in the $2 to $3 dollar range that I have found to be excellent are DeLallo and DeCecco.

when you have a chance on a weekend I would travel out to Jeannette on the east side of pittsburgh to DeLallo's they have great scratch bread and a wonderful deli, great people too.

Filomena’s and Delallo's

are more than acceptable substitutes the one I use is DeLallo. As for real lemon if you look at the ingredients the first is water so I think we can figure that you get what you pay for.
