Try Coi in San Francisco... he works more with essential oils, but still does a lot of foams. Not quite as “mad scientist” as some, but definitely not the same old same old. Susan

Anitidote was the only place here but that closed. Maybe you would like Coi.

These come to mind- Kokkari- there is a great room in the cellar and the service is excellent for large parties. I was here for a big party and everyone had a great time. Coi- might be interesteing I know they have a private room....

Are you tasting-menu-adventurous? Go for the eleven-course dinner at Coi where you will find California cuisine elevated by finesse and a touch of intellectual playfulness....

Fifth Floor has had too many chef changes to even know what it is like these days. I’d go with either Ame or Coi.

Nopa? Coi? I wouldn’t say Ame is past that point timing-wise quite yet.

To add to a mention on the list, I really like the lounge at COI — the food is wonderful and interesting, and the lounge itself is quiet and relaxing.

Any other suggestions? Coi must be getting their yuba from somewhere!
