I highly doubt the reason they were only half full was because of Chanukah parties. In fact, during this time all restaurants are filled to capacity due to families & friends having their get togthers at kosher eateries.

Blue Ribbon Bakery @ 33 Downing Street 212 337-0404 is serving latkes as appetizers in the evening starting Wedneday Dec. 8 for Chanukah. Don’t know how authentic or good they are but Blue Ribbon’s food is pretty good...
