A couple years ago I spent some time in Central Florida, and I fell in love with a theater in Maitland and its food. The theater is called The Enzian, and it’s a non-profit theater that plays indie/foreign flicks....

Oola and Foreign Cinema are places that I like to take my teenage brother. The food is good and he really digs the scene at both places.

The original location is long gone. I think most of their chowder is made at their central kitchen and sent out in bags to the restaurants, though perhaps some more knowledgeable hound will chime in. All in all pretty good...

as asian markets go, there’s one in Scarsdale on Central Avenue. The name escapes me, but it’s in the Fine Arts Cinema plaza. It’s the only place I’ve found kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, and Thai basli....
