Ice cream: Eggs or no eggs?

Totally depends on the flavor I’m making. In general, though, I prefer no eggs. My ice cream is still smooth and chewy, but the simple flavors shine, not the custard flavor. (11 replies, last updated by Vetter August 24, 2008)

    Eggs in Ice Cream

Why do some ice cream recipes call for the entire egg, but others call for only the egg yolk? I understand that the egg yolk is an emulsifier and creates a creamier texture, but what does the egg white do? (2 replies, last updated by jpc8015 January 23, 2009)

    Bacon and . . .

How about a bacon, avocado, and fried egg sandwich? Toast the bread and rub it discreetly with a half garlic clove. A drop or two of Tabasco just to give it a little zing and acidity. Link: http://meglioranza.com (18 replies, last updated by Sarah May 21, 2004)
