Acme Oyster House-Sandestin
We unfortunately missed the Acme Oyster House during our trip to NOLA last summer. I didn’t know there was one in Sandestin until just this moment – anyone have the real scoop on it? Is the food fresh and good or is... (1 reply, last updated by Jerry January 24, 2006)

Acme Oyster House for fun rehearsal dinner??????????
I wouldn’t attempt it. It’s not the right atmosphere. For a fun, inexpensive atmosphere for a rehearsal dinner, you can have something at your house if you have a nice yard. There are caterers (or some experienced men... (5 replies, last updated by NolaF September 11, 2003)

Phlily hound coming to NOLA - oyster house besides ACME?
Hi I come to NOLA every couple of years and pretty much eat oysters at ACME. Is there another terrific spot to sit around and have oysters that are just as good? My dad likes Felix’s but I like ACME better. I once heard... (7 replies, last updated by JR October 12, 2004)

ACME
I loved Acme. I don’t know about sitting at a table and all that jazz, but if you grab a seat at the oyster bar (not the regular bar), order some Dixie beer, and just let the shuckers keep on shucking, you’ll never... (8 replies, last updated by Dave Feldman March 8, 2000)

acme or felix's
If you are not eating oysters, Acme is the place to go — better atmosphere too. If you were eating oysters, Felix’s is better hands down. (2 replies, last updated by Jess January 9, 2005)

raw oysters - Acme v. Mike Anderson's
Acme v. Mike Anderson’s. Which are better? Have been going to Mike’s past 4 trips to NO for their Sun – Thurs, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. 25 cents oysters. Are Acme's raw oysters better? Thanks. (4 replies, last updated by kdub October 22, 2003)

oysters
The Bourbon House, on the corner near Acme and Felix’s, has great baked and raw oysters (with or without caviar). The place doesn’t smell like fried food either. (3 replies, last updated by JJ April 6, 2005)

Oysters— go straigt to Swan’s on Polk near California. I usually go on the weekend and have to wait an hour but you might be alright today if they are open. They have all kinds of oysters. It’s a real rustic... (10 replies, last updated by BillP November 5, 2003)

sauce is ordinary but oysters this fresh should never come near tail sauce anyway (only a little squeeze of lemon) - not especially cheap but unsurpassed for quality – nearly as funky an ambiance as acme in new orleans (8 replies, last updated by Peter September 24, 2005)

Have you eaten at the Acme Chop House?
I’m planning a trip to San Francisco at the end of this month, and I would like to get some opinions of the Acme Chop house as a possible dinner destination. Thanks. (6 replies, last updated by Jonathan Hecht November 9, 2003)

Royal House Oyster Bar?
Yes, I was there one afternoon last week. Had the spinach salad with fried oysters. I thought it was a bit pricey, but some of the best fried oysters of the trip. My husband had the char grilled and they were not as good as acme. (8 replies, last updated by DJ Joe April 23, 2009)
