Yorkshire Grill
I work nearby the Yorkshire Grill, and as there’s very little great food in walking distance from my office that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, I patronize it quite frequently. They have pretty tasty corned beef and... (4 replies, last updated by ipse dixit August 4, 2004)

Any great places for Yorkshire pudding / popovers?
By far, the best I’ve had in LA is at the Grill on the Alley in Beverly Hills. Prime Rib with Yorkshire pudding is a special, served every Sunday night, and it is spectacular. (11 replies, last updated by Psiweaver April 27, 2009)

Soup or Stew Downtown?
It’s not quite in your radius (neither is Phillipes) but I always thought Leons in the Mall next to City Hall had the best soups downtown. The matzo ball soup at Yorkshire Grill was pretty good. Is that close enough? (4 replies, last updated by baloney December 7, 2008)

Went to the Yorkshire Grill today in DTLA for Salisbury Steak. A good chunk of beef, nice gravy, but all in all it tasted too much like an over seasoned hamburger patty. Where’s the grade school cafeteria chef when you need... (6 replies, last updated by ipsedixit November 28, 2007)

Have you tried Yorkshire Grill? This is a truly oldtime place with a U-shaped counter. It’s definitely vintage dinette fair, but it gets pretty packed during lunch so I know I’m not just charmed by the decor. I used to... (31 replies, last updated by mc michael November 2, 2004)
