Laiola...?
Perhaps it should be more prominent, but the chef actually provides “notes” (http://www.laiola.com/notes.htm) on the menu . . . which is more than I’ve ever seen on a restaurant website. These... (2 replies, last updated by madden July 22, 2007)

Laiola Report
Tonight I went to dinner at Laiola with a very pregnant Spanish friend. We tried to stop in before but it was always full. Tonight I called at 7 and was able to secure an 8:15 reservation. We shared: -tortilla -chickpeas with... (0 replies, last updated by pane April 29, 2008)

Laiola Review
. The lamb meatballs with mint yoghurt were simply out of this world. A home-run and then some. Another one of the best dishes I’ve had in SF. Overall, I would say Laiola gives A16 a serious run for its money on the “best in the... (4 replies, last updated by rworange March 4, 2008)

Laiola, Umami
I went with a few friends this weekend to Laiola which is located on Chestnut @ Fillmore. It was one of the more inspiring and fantastic dinners I had in a Bay Area restaurant in a long time. My friend ended up getting to the bar... (1 reply, last updated by Robert Lauriston October 5, 2007)

Laiola Now Takes Reservations
I just noticed on OpenTable that Laiola on Chestnut street now accepts reservations. When the place opened up earlier this year, it was just first-come-first-serve, which I actually thought was a nice idea given the laid-back,... (0 replies, last updated by singleguychef November 16, 2007)

Laiola hits the spot
Had dinner at Laiolo last night and we were very impressed about how delicious the food was for only being open about a week or so. The blood sausage with chickpeas was delicious and well integrated as a dish rather than just... (0 replies, last updated by Amy G July 25, 2007)

Another Fantastic Meal at Laiola
Mmmm ... dates stuffed with chorizo, wrapped in bacon ... that sounds so good. Thanks for keeping Laiola in Chowhound radar. (1 reply, last updated by rworange April 14, 2008)

Bocadillos,Laiola, Incanto and The House?: RobLaur,RW,Ruth L. et al
I’m also a Bocadillos fan and agree with the casual nature of the service. The House is one of my favorite restaurants in the city though I haven’t been in a year or so. And I really didn’t enjoy my dinner at... (20 replies, last updated by Robert Lauriston April 3, 2008)

SF Street Food Festival 8/22 - Aziza, Delfina, Heaven's Dog, La Mar, Laiola, etc are out on the street
and everyone was in a great mood. Best thing we ate was the heirloom tomato on bread from Laiola. Aziza’s med taco was also very good. (35 replies, last updated by Robert Lauriston August 26, 2009)

Great Eastern in Chinatown for dim sum. Perhaps Tropi Sueno for Mexican or Laiola for tapas, haven’t been to either. Use opentable.com for latter two for reservations. http://www.tropisueno.com/ http://www.laiola.com/ (2 replies, last updated by ceekskat June 17, 2009)

Nopa is probably your best bet for a counter seat and a “show.” Others that come to mind right away are Bar Tartine and Laiola. Both have long counter bar seating and open kitchen although the open kitchen is off to... (3 replies, last updated by random May 18, 2009)
